Bewitched is a fun show, that lets us see what life is like for a witch named Samantha. In the episode I watched “Twitch Or Treat” it started off OK, it gives you a fun vibe when you first watch it, because we see the two of the main characters Samantha and her husband Darrin,interacting with each other to discuss their Halloween plans.
Both of these main characters have very bubbly personalities, so both characters just balance one another. Endora Samantha’s mother, wants to throw her big Halloween party, but Darrin isn’t a big fan of that idea because he isn’t a fan of witchcraft, or anything witch related. Endora goes ahead with the party planning and sets up her house across the street, Samantha tries talking her mother out of the party, but the party ends up happening at Samantha’s house, so Samantha teams up with her uncle Arthur to try and stop Endora’s party from going perfect, so they will have no choice but to move the party.
I really enjoyed the writing in the show, because it is very comedic, and makes you want to watch more and more, to see if the show has that comedic vibe throughout because it’s very intriguing as an audience member. As for the characters I enjoyed that they added most character archetypes, like the joker (uncle Arthur), the strict character(Endora) and the annoying character(Gladys Kravitz), as far as the acting I didn’t mind it every character knew how to express their dialogue with the right body language.
I thought the editing in this show was really cool, knowing that at the time this show was made there was no digital editing, and for this being a show a witch show, it probably took lots of takes to try and make the magic look real. The music in this show was perfect it wasn’t too distracting and it didn’t disturb the dialogue at all.
Overall the show was decent, I didn’t mind it at all I would probably watch it again, I would say its for people who like very mystical shows and I would just give it a 4 star rating.
